The St Mark Passion by Jakob Meiland is one of the earliest Lutheran St Mark Passions. It is not known to have been performed in modern times. It is now performed for the first time in Finland. The performance of Meiland’s Passion is part of the cycle of early Passions that Musicians of the King’s Road initiated already in 2013.
Musicians of the King’s Road has performed several rare and almost unknown passion settings. Meiland’s St. Mark Passion is among these ultra-rare.
